Based in Dublin, we're a specialist digital marketing agency. Since 2002 we've provided SEO, PPC, social media marketing, content, analytics and marketing automation services.

We have a new role of Business Development Manager. The types of clients we're targeting are most commonly regulated companies such as medical device, pharma and financial companies both big and small. No experience of these sectors is necessary.

The role is primarily to generate new business (85%), but also to deliver maximum revenues from existing customers (15%). You will need to thrive on hunting for new business as well as handling and closing inbound enquiries / referrals via a consultative sales process. 

What we're looking for: 
An energetic sales person that has some entrepreneurial flair, a proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets in excess of €300K per year, a clear understanding of digital marketing and with contacts within the marketing sector. 

Your Responsibilities:
> Generate new business contracts from marketing/managing directors.
> Conduct telemarketing to generate digital marketing leads and opportunities.
> Educate prospects on digital marketing to manage their expectations
> Write sales proposals and present them to prospects.
> Produce and enhance sales collateral as required
> Own tenders and RFIs that may lead to new business.
> Present at events to represent the company and source leads.
> Maintain internal systems, ensuring they are kept up-to-date with the latest sales activity. 

You will ideally have:
> Proven track record in business development, achieving ambitious revenue targets.
> Minimum 4 years' experience operating in a business development role.
 > Experience of working in a similar role for a digital / marketing agency.
 > Experience with social selling.
> Ability to conduct incisive desk research into sectors, target companies and individual prospects.
> Attention to detail.
> Articulate and confident communicator - ability to think quickly and creatively when talking to prospects.
> An instinct for honest but creative selling - we're not working from scripts and you will be expected to create tailored approaches for each prospect.
> A desire to work in a close knit professional team with clear accountability.
> Bags of energy and dedication, with the ability to thrive in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment.
> Gravitas and instant credibility internally and externally.
> Experience selling services to users of Hubspot / similar.
> Self-starter and proactive individual and team player.
> Ability to work under pressure.

The successful candidate can expect a basic salary of €40,000 per annum and generous and uncapped commission. Realistic on target earnings in the first year are around €100,000 but there is the opportunity to earn much more.
