Sales Jobs – A Senior National Account Manager Job with a leading FMCG Company based in South Dublin. Management of a national account to include at least 1 multiple along with key accounts in ROI and NI.

The Senior National Account Manager will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with Senior Contacts, while delivering market share, profitability & budgets within their specific categories and creating / developing business plans. The role will require an individual who understands and can communicate the company category vision/strategy to enable the environmental changes required to secure future growth plans.

Key responsibilities:

•           Total P&L accountability for the company / Customer relationship and budgeted scorecard delivery.

•           Achievement of sales, margin and category growth targets

•           Develop, negotiate, execute and track the delivery of a joint annual business plan with the customer that underpins the Sales and Brand strategy achievement within that Customer Identifying new business and category opportunities

•           Develop strong relationships with trade buyers to achieve effective execution of sales activities

•           Ensure NPD listings, category fixture plans, Promotional Activity and all other relevant sections are implemented and executed on tim

Key Relationships

o   Reports into Business Controller (accountable for managing Irish Team within Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain)

o   Internal key business relationships:  Sales colleagues, Marketing (Brand, Category, Customer), Commercial Finance, Sales Operational Support and Supply Chain.

o   External key business relationships: Customer Buying hierarchy, Category Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing, Merchandising, Online / e commerce, Finance departments, and store format hierarchies.


The Ideal candidate for this Senior National Account Manager 

•           Of graduate calibre with a minimum of 3 years FMCG selling experience, ideally as part of a business team working on one of the top 5 Mults or as an accomplished NAM (in say Convenience) who is now looking to take on full account responsibility for one of the Top 5.

•           Very strong Commercial acumen and analytical skills

•           Strong negotiator who can demonstrate experience of maintaining focus, control and delivery of a balanced scorecard of success.

•           Can demonstrate a personal level of passion, pride, determination and resilience to succeed in the most demanding, volatile and pressurised of customer, category and commercial environments.

•           Someone who is constantly (daily, weekly, monthly) evaluating and flexing plans to both mitigate performance risks and seize commercial opportunities to over-deliver.

•           A very strong team player who is comfortable and used to both high levels of individual accountability and collective team / cross functional responsibility for achieving sustainable business wide success.

•           Someone who can demonstrate a great fit and ability to operate and be successful within the cultural framework of the company’s core values and behaviours.
