Stafford Lynch are recruiting for a Business Account Manager to drive the Tony’s Chocolonely brand sales in Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to gain exposure to an account manager role and who will work closely with our National Account Managers. Primary Purpose of the Role: This position will report to Head of Sales with a dotted line to Head of Commercial and will be responsible for delivering Tony’s Sales Plan and targets ; with the primary objective of driving the Tony’s Chocolonely brand sales and complimentary Stafford Lynch portfolio products. This role will be responsible for developing both new and existing accounts across multiples, convenience, premium retail, online & foodservice channels, as well as achieving account profitability and sales targets.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as Brand Ambassador for impulse brands both internally and externally
  • Develop account strategies in accordance with overall channel strategy
  • Seek out and develop new business opportunities (Existing and New Customers) 
  • Partnering with the Senior Brand Managers in promotional development 
  • Forecast, budget and track account revenues and cost 
  • Expand sales into new and existing channels relating to Impulse category
  • Develop relationships with key stores and groups 
  • Conduct regular reviews of business performance, promotion strategies, planograms 
  • Forecast, budget and track account revenues and cost 
  • Maintain regular calls on all specified outlets.
  • Achieve all key trade performance indicators including volume, product distribution, promotional execution, product placement etc.
  • Improving/maintaining existing client share of space, distribution and displays within store
  • Ensure brand is well represented, available to customers and priced appropriately.
  • Plan/carry out/support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales e.g., product launches, promotions.
  • Interface with cross functional employees including national accounts, sales support, finance, warehouse & marketing
  • Capture/Communicate brand activity 
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, providing accurate and relevant reports and information.

Person Specification
  • 3+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in FMCG, preferably with Impulse experience
  • Experience managing relationships with national retail & wholesale customers
  • Experience in hunting new business / cold calling / developing new channels 
  • Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability, and budget goals 
  • Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies 
  • Ability to effectively monitor category performance versus plan and communicate accordingly 
  • Ability to understand trade spending effectiveness (efficiency of promotional activity is preferred) 
  • Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to interface and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally 
  • High-energy enthusiastic self-starter as well as collaborative team player 
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and the customer 
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer 
  • Capable negotiator, highly organised
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customer
