Hot Press is looking for people of real calibre to become part of our advertising sales, partnerships and sponsorship team. This is a really exciting opportunity for people with sales ability and the ambition to make their mark in the entertainment and media industry in Ireland. For over 40 years, Hot Press has been at the cutting edge of Irish media development, establishing a reputation as one of the leading entertainment and music publications in the world.
The role involves connecting us with appropriate clients and brands, developing solutions to satisfy their needs, making sales and meeting targets!
Creativity is at the heart of what we do. In addition to Hot Press and hotpress.com, we have developed a broad range of brand extensions and related publishing ventures. We organise events, exhibitions, music partnerships, online activities, mobile applications, social network campaigns and national competitions, operating across music, media, fashion, design, writing, film, sport, education, photography and more. We have run campaigns on Mental Health, on All Against Racism and in relation to the introduction of a Harm Reduction approach to drugs policy.
All these adventures are driven by our unparalleled access to, and understanding of, the Irish youth, entertainment and student markets.
We are currently seeking people with some – or if we get lucky all! – of the following qualities to join our commercial team:
- Proven sales know-how and ability
- Media and media industry knowledge
- An awareness of the importance of meeting targets
- The ability to come up with ideas and to innovate
- The drive to really contribute to the future development of an exciting media business
- The attitude required to work effectively as part of a team
- The independence necessary to take on personal responsibility for clients
- An understanding of the role of the internet and social media in a wider promotional mix
