An exciting full-time opportunity has become available for a Business Development Executive to join our long established company Automotive Publications selling market leading services in top B2B publications, B2B and B2C on-line portals, and exhibitions.
The ideal candidate will be up for a challenge, be a self-motivated, organised individual who has the ability to use their own initiative. You should be able to identify and process new business opportunities through strategic calls (to seek appointments) and by follow-on emails, plus then in person.

Your ability to engage and connect with customers and to open doors and develop new relationships will be key to your success.
You would be responsible for sales development in all of Ireland and with foreign companies that trade into or within Ireland. Your efforts will be supported by our experienced sales and management team, who will assist you in reaching goals and maximizing sales opportunities. This includes attending business to business events abroad a number of times each year, initially with another member or members of our team.
We need someone who embraces & practices customer satisfaction as the best way to grow the company sustainably and their position in it. Our head office is based in Co. Roscommon, and we envisage that on average the successful applicant could expect to be in-house 2-3 days per week, with the remaining days each week visiting potential and existing customers by appointment in most instances.
Achieve set realistic sales targets.
Grow the customer base and with our market-leading and expanding portfolio of service products within targeted market segments.
To support and develop our existing customer base and generate new business by identifying & developing new accounts, by your own research and meetings by appointments.
Negotiate with decision makers at all levels.
Meet customers on regular basis to maintain awareness of the continuously evolving and expanding company and service/product range.
Develop good relationships with colleagues building a working together approach in order to ensure delivery of the approved sales plan.
Take responsibility for accurate & punctual reporting and forecasting. The company operates “Salesforce’, the world's #1 CRM platform.
Engage in up-selling/cross-selling other company products when appropriate.
The right person:
While training will be given on our specific methodology and service portfolio, the successful candidate should have a minimum of 1 year sales experience, but not necessarily in the business to business sector.
Must have good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Should be good at using initiative to develop new business. Good at attention to detail.
Have the ability to work well in an organised way and meet deadlines.
Have a good level of education - can demonstrate high levels of literacy and numeracy.
Must have fluency in both written and spoken English.
Have a full clean driving licence, with a maximum of two penalty points.
An interest in cars and the motoring industry would be advantageous.
Be highly self-motivated and able to work with autonomy as well as being part of a team.
