The Role
This is an exciting role for an ambitious salesperson. You will be my clients first full-time sales resource with full responsibility for growing their revenue through new deals. As such, there is the opportunity to become the sales leader at the centre of the growth of the company. You will be a very important member of the team. In your role, you will be challenged to establish professional and performant sales processes, these with substantial marketing/promotion content as well. Your job will also include the recommendation and introduction of sales and marketing technology that is appropriate to a company our size that is competing in the technology sector. You will develop and agree on the sales budget, which initially will be your target alone, and you will report directly to the S&M Director on progress, and also to the CEO on a regular basis.
Experience Needed
• Field selling of platform-based solutions for large enterprises;
• Experience selling eCommerce / digital software solutions and software integration / development services in €200k + deals;
• Selling software and software-based services through indirect partner channels;
• Have relevant current contacts at exec level in large Irish enterprises across sectors –
• Manufacturing (such as of pharmaceuticals and food), FMCG, Retail, Technology, Government, Semi-state etc.
• Ideally, some experience selling across EMEA;
• Adept in the use and optimisation of digital channels, marketing platforms and technologies to promote products and services and to generate leads / opportunities;
• Has experience working with formal sales processes including pipeline management and valuation, accurate forecasting techniques, and using basic sales technologies such as CRM, Linkedin and Google;
• Experience putting together proposals of substance and responding to formal requests to tender;
• Good command of English, especially in the context of articulating technology as a tool to gain a competitive edge;
• Excellent knowledge of the current market for enterprise technology, especially in eCommerce / digital;
• Superb presentation skills and, ideally, the know-how and experience to conduct webinars and talk at conferences/trade shows.

• Friendly, sociable, good at mixing in large and small groups, with a sense of humour; A team player, conscious that others have their goals and needs too;
• Knows how to do a deal and pursues a win in terrier-fashion, but knowing when to give up (reluctantly);
• Has a strong emotional intelligence, capable of identifying the real decision-makers, their issues, objections, likes/dislikes etc. from early on in a client engagement;
• Takes on challenges with enthusiasm and positivity;
• Is self-centred to the extent only that she/he has the ambition to succeed;
• Respectful of everyone and polite - in the team, in customer organisations, with partners - and believes that diversity enriches us all;
• Never misleads, but instead gives accurate reports regarding the sales pipeline and the status of opportunities;
• Is eager to learn, admitting mistakes and moving quickly on to correct them;
• Has the mix of knowledge, education, training and experience necessary to sell what they sell
