THE COMPANY: As a leading supplier of medical equipment and consumables into secondary care, our client boasts an impressive list of clienteles. They work with all the large hospitals throughout the country and offer a vast portfolio of products, including imaging equipment, diagnostic equipment, consumables and reagents. They are now looking for an Account Manager to join their team, covering the Republic of Ireland.
THE ROLE: As the successful Territory Manager, you will join the Healthcare division, and act as a Product Specialist for their blood diagnostics range. You will sell the machinery, the consumables and the reagents into hospitals, in both the public and private sector. As a product specialist, your responsibilities will include the sale of the equipment, technical support and training. You will interact will a variety of decision makers including Lab Managers, Lab technicians, Biochemical Consultants etc.
This role will be predominantly account management, and you will be tasked with retaining and nurturing existing business whilst also upselling other products and services. This range of products can have quite a long lead time, so you must have the ability to nurture a fairly slow-paced sales process. The products are also high value, with some of the equipment valued at €70K+ per machine. You will cover the Republic of Ireland alongside 1 other account manager, so the territory will be divided up accordingly. Full product training for the successful Sales Manager.
THE PERSON: We are looking to speak with people with a knowledge of the industry. Ideally you will have experience selling medical products or consumables into hospitals and/or laboratories. People coming from a medical device/diagnostics/pharmaceutical/medical equipment/consumable sales background are also desirable. You will be familiar with the tendor process for selling to hospitals via the HSE. You will also be equipped to deal with a long lead cycle. Communication and empathy are a huge part of the role so you must be skilled in both.
* Basic Salary: €40,000 - €55,000 (DOE)
* €10,000 + OTE
