This renowned spirits distribution company has recently set up in Ireland and is now looking to hire a Key Account Manager with experience in the drinks industry. The appointment of an experienced sales professional is vital to drive sales forward at a time of exciting growth for the company. The main purpose of the role is to manage a dynamic base of off-trade accounts across a vibrant mix of sub-channels including wholesale, cash’n’carry, groups, independents and some multiples. Responsibilities
Maintain & grow the distribution of the company portfolio of award winning brands across wholesale, group and independent accounts Work closely with the Country Manager to develop brand plans and segmentationManage budgets in agreement with Country ManagerPlan, develop and implement successful joint business plan programmes with customers that create value for both the company and customerDeliver the Off-Trade brand building and activation programmes including but not limited to Perfect Serve, sampling, tailored competitions and build unique brand visibility across multiple channelsSuccessfully deliver KPIs including sales targets, daily call rate, distribution growth, volume targets, debt management etc. Work closely with brand and sales managers to supplement brand training modules to industry sales teams and ensuring full leveraging of brand ambassadors Perform analysis of which channels offer the best options to the companyDevelop collaborative & productive relationships with key customersConstantly monitor customer performance (sell-in/out, stock level) and propose corrective actions if requiredSkills Needed
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the drinks industry with proven track record of delivering KPIs in a key account / national account roleKnowledge of Irish off-trade industry and strong commercial experience ideally with a spirits backgroundStrong understanding of brand building with proven ability to execute commercial delivery across a varied portfolioExcellent influencing and negotiation skills Superb client relationship skills essential with the ability to develop and nurture relationships at all levelsStrong presentation skills with experience in delivering training presentations Commercial acumen essential with a proven ability to build successful customer propositions that will deliver brand growth
