Customer Service Executive (Shift based)

Situated in a buzzing city centre location, the AA operational team are housed in 2 locations on South William street. Specialised teams on well mapped career journeys are engaging on a daily, mile a minute basis via phone and digital communication methods to ensure top notch, friendly, engaging sales and support to their customers.

The workforce currently sits at approx. 500 and this role is to join the service and rescue side of the house. This particular hire is to join an enormously important function within the business. As the first point of contact for incoming correspondence from current customers, you will represent the AA in providing a hugely helpful, professional and informative system to enable a successful and positive experience.

This position is within the rescue team, you will correspond with customer who require breakdown assistance. This is a full time position which requires a high level of flexibility around hours and availability.  You will work on a shift rotation, there are premium rates for hours outside of regular business hours.

You’re part of a close, distinct team, of approx. 10-20 individuals. Your job is demanding and involves high levels of conversation daily! With high levels of inbound calls you’ll be speaking directly with customers. It’s important, high paced and requires concentrated, application and positive style of conversing.
Extensive phone work - These are inbound, helpful, commercial conversations. There are clear targets around what’s expected on you to successfully close a sale on. They are focused on new customers / renewals and some cross-selling products. The targets are both achievable and realistic, and measured on a weekly basis so you can see how you’re doing.
Communication is key here. You’ll be fully trained on all this, but remember that this is a regularised environment. With well mapped out, lovely robust internal procedures to follow you’re well protected, and should stick to this. Step by step, you bring the conversation to a place where both parties are satisfied.
Supporting administration – you’ll be working on CRM’s and issuing important documents and policy information. This is manged and guided in a fool proof manner, but you’ve got to follow processes and ensure follow up and accurate management.
Self-discipline & Motivation– there are no shortage of customers to speak to, and they are (literally) queuing up on the phone lines! Your application of positive, helpful engagement with optimise the professional impression consistent with you and your employers brand. It will also propel you through your career.

This will commence your career and set you up for the job in hand, and also for a longer term careers in Sales, Product, HR, L&D, Finance, Marketing, IT ( to name a few!)
Education Assistance – there are registered industry qualifications here the ACA/CIP Insurance–, which the AA want to support you in achieving. This is managed, paid for and organised by the AA. It’s an investment in you and there’s even a tutor on site to help you through.

This role has a starting salary of €23,000 per annum.
