Automation Sales Engineer
Role Location: Westmeath

The Company
My client has come to the forefront of materials handling and industrial automation with an outstanding portfolio of customer-focused products. Their constant development has matched in-house designed products along with proven technologies from leading global suppliers to create solutions across all industries. Their strategic partnerships allow them to deliver some of the largest automation projects in Europe. Many of these projects have stretched boundaries in terms of maximum load capacity, extreme temperature and complexity of processes.

You in this role:
The person will be self motivated and capable of effective management of their own time. They will be required to identify their own sales opportunities as well as those given to them.

Products will encompass:

Conveyors or individual pieces of automation equipment
Complete factory solutions.
Improvements to existing lines or systems
Reduction of production bottlenecks through specific automation solutions
Spares to existing customers

The person will need the ability to identify issues or problems customers have within their existing manufacturing plants and recommend solutions to alleviate or eradicate those problems.

They will need the ability to quickly create a relationship of trust with both prospects and customers. The most important communication skill being to listen.
The person will be responsible for keeping up to date with new and emerging technologies that could enhance solutions we typically provide.

The sales person will work with an applications engineers who will assist in putting together the overall concept to be presented to the customer and the applications engineer will conduct a detailed costing of the solution for the sales engineer and assist with the creation of the final quote.

This position would suit someone who has worked or is working in the materials handling sector providing automation solutions.

It would also suit someone who has sold components into the relevant sectors. Example product sales would be:

Motors and Controllers
Pneumatic Components
PLC's and Electrical Control Components
Actuators and manipulators

The main geographical area will be the Island of Ireland with occasional sales into EU territories including the UK
