Job Profile:

The job of Air Conditioning Engineer concerns installation, service and maintenance of high, medium and low temperature refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in industrial and commercial environments. Key aspects of the occupation include close control of temperature/humidity environmental conditions; supply/extraction/filtration of air conditioned heat pumps and energy management systems

Core Skills: Installation, service and maintenance of a broad range of high, medium and low temperature refrigeration equipment. Installation, service, maintenance of air conditioning systems and associated plant, ranging from split or remote type heat pumps to large capacity/tonnage chilled water machines. Safe handling and identification of refrigerants.

Personal Qualities and Skills

As a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer will need to be physically active and to be able to work with your hands. An awareness of health and safety and good housekeeping is essential as well as attention to detail and an eye for the aesthetic. The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning craftsperson must have the ability to:

* Plan and organise
* Communicate effectively
* Solve problems
* Work independently and as part of a team
* Show a positive attitude
* Demonstrate good work practices including time keeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness
* Travel throughout Ireland
* Good PC skills essential
* Diagnose and repair faults
