What's This Specification Field Sales Rep Job All About?

This is a Senior Sales Representative Role with our client, at Assistant Manager level with a worldwide locking systems business. You will be selling, chiefly to developers, architects and hotel senior management. Your territory will be the island of Ireland but with a focus on the Greater Dublin area and the major cities and towns. Therefore, it is likely that the successful candidate will live in the Greater Dublin area. The role offers an excellent basic salary of circa €40K with OTE in the region of €60K+. An excellent benefits package applies as below. We are seeking applications from excellent field sales people, particularly those familiar with a long sales cycle. You must have a proven track record and an understanding of the hotel business would be an advantage.



Negotiable (depending on experience) plus a generous commission (uncapped) paid on every order secured. Realistic OTE €60k plus.

Primary areas of responsibility

* Following up on all leads generated in the area as well as prospecting for business using own initiative
* Targeting the core markets highlighted above during the various phases of the decision making process to ensure that our client company secures the specification and the business
* Working with colleagues where key customers projects cross sales boundaries
* Report on market and competitor activities
* Put together an annual business plan for developing area sales, maintain and report on progress to plan
* Attend quarterly sales meetings
* Ensure that our client company quotes for every hotel opportunity in the designated area
* Ensuring that the company’s CRM system is kept updated with all project activity

The ideal candidate

* Working in specification sales or an associated industry
* A demonstrable track record in specification sales
* Experience of selling into capital projects with focus on quality not price
* Knowledge of the hotels market would be advantageous but not prerequisite
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* IT literate and comfortable using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experienced in using CRM systems to track and monitor projects and to report on activity
* Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
* An aptitude for absorbing technical information
* Self-starter
* Results orientated, determined and enthusiastic
