Barry Packaging, based in Tralee for over 50 years, are Ireland’s leading independent designer and supplier of packaging products.
We are currently seeking an Internal Business Developer with a passion and instinct for generating new business and mining our existing large customer base around Ireland.
What will you be doing?
As a Business Developer, you become part of our team, based in our Tralee offices , selling packaging solutions to retailers and a diverse range of industries in Ireland. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role entails working with customers on designing packaging solutions, and working alongside our design team and our global manufacturing partners to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
The Business Developer will work closely with our internal sales and marketing Team to identify potential up sales and growth opportunities within our existing accounts also.
Who are you?
ü Highly motivated and goal oriented.
ü You must have prior success selling B to B business services to SME’s and large B to B companies in a highly competitive market.
ü Experienced at creating, generating, and closing new business.
ü Excel at finding and closing opportunities in a short to medium sales cycle.
ü Be able to work independently without supervision.
ü Be accountable for the agreed goals.
ü You will have previous experience of consultative/solution type selling.
ü Ability to identify the customer’s needs (or create needs)
ü Strong commercial awareness.
ü Know how to analyse market trends and competitor activities.
ü Experience using a CRM reporting system.
