Reed is engaged with a public body in east Belfast, in the appointment of a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Staff Officer (Financial Reporting Team) for a period of 12 months.

Working closely with the Deputy Principal, the Staff Officer will hold a varied remit to include the following responsibilities:
Review and Posting journals for prepayments, Accrued Income, Deferred Income, Travel expenses, credit cards, Other Suspense Creditors, Cost Pass Through, Correcting errors picked up as part of reconciliationsReview and approval of eFormsTransfer of funds - Monthly/ad-hoc review of transfer of fundsReview of transactions through various GL codesPrompt Payment Reporting - Monthly analysis of the period of time taken for invoices to be paid by all business areasFOI requests - Ad hoc reviews of FOI requests for FinanceInterim/year end accountsAnalytical review of admin expense/receivables codesVerification of contingent liabilities/capital commitments and collation of back upCompletion of segmental analysis for disclosure in accountsNotional costs - confirmation of amount and collation of back upRental deposits - year-end reviewA full job description is available upon request

Have successfully passed the final professional examinations and be a full, current member of one of the professional bodies (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent), with a minimum of 6 months post-qualified experience within the last two years.
