Sales Account Manager - Semiconductor

Sales Account Manager for Semiconductor required for fast growing multinational based in Waterford City. The overall purpose of this role is to drive the sales of valve products and valve modules in the Semiconductor market. Working within the direction of the Commercial Director, the Sales Account Manager, will be responsible for developing sales for the company s range of Semiconductor Valves, Gas sticks and Panels to the market.

The Person

This role requires a professional who has a proven track record in successful sales in the Bioprocessing sector. It is crucial this individual will have the ability to utilise industry experience to develop creative and effective sales strategies and revenue opportunities for the business and being active in implementing each of those strategies for the company.

The individual must have highly effective communication and strong selling and sales strategies to sell the product. The candidate should be a strong sales professional who is motivated by delivering quality flow solutions to the semiconductor industry. The nature of the role requires an individual who can demonstrate genuine entrepreneurial qualities that can be applied within a dynamic business structure.


The Sales Account Manager role will be responsible to drive sales and technical solutions with this specific client In Ireland, Germany, Poland and Israel, liaising with the business unit teams at the production facility.

Establishing relationships with contacts to enable successful sales in the business for the Irish, German and Israel markets;

Work with the end-user, and contracting companies to maximise the sales opportunity for the company for its semiconductor product line;

Promoting the product line and technical features with stakeholders and key decision makers to ensure products are included in the client specifications.

Identify and communicate customer specification and demands for valve products and valve modules ensuring clarity, performance and delivery of the product to the client;

Leverage product advantages and features in relation to performance and business merits that the company is providing to this customer.

Develop and grow new opportunities within the businesses group network of


Working closely together with the company s technology and development department on flow solutions, valve integration and customer-driven products; including design, project management & manufacturing resources.

Create an effective customer relationship management system with this client ensuring new and existing opportunities are retained, customer trend preferences recorded, and revenue opportunities are maximised for the business as well as conveying industry trends to the management team.

Develop sales plans and strategies with the senior management team and agree timelines, execution, and accountability.

Researching customer needs and value-added opportunities to provide world-class solutions covering the needs and enhancement possibilities in the industry.

Deliver regular customer and market reports to management all relevant reporting to senior management.


High technical competence with a strong sales record and background.

Third level engineering qualification in business or technical discipline.

Master s degree.

Five (5) years sales experience in direct sales and business/technical solutions environment within the biotech, pharmaceutical and food & drink industries.

Excellent communication & presentation skills.

Have ability to learn, understand and explain how the company s products and solutions can add significant value and competitive advantages to our customers' business.

Knowledge of valve piping systems in the biotech & pharmaceutical industry.

Works well as an individual and part of a multi-functional global team.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D packages.

Results driven and strong influencer with decision-makers

Knowledge of semiconductor and specifically bulk gas distribution regulations.

Good working knowledge of MS Office package including MS Project.

Ability to work across multi functions and communicate within those

functional areas.

Skilled in preparing and leading presentations to stakeholder groups.

Proven problem-solving skills and methodologies.

Excellent written and verbal command of English.

Ability to communicate with people across different backgrounds is required.

High self-motivation and a self-starter to drive the new product development


A full clean driver s licence.
