Botanic Marketing is a young, dynamic, sales & marketing distribution company which aspires to do the very best it can for customers and staff alike. Our dedicated team of Van Salespeople service over 1,000 customers across the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland distributing a range of Jellies, American Candy, Novelty Sweets, Snacks, Cookies and Breakfast Cereal.  

This position will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the sales and merchandising of all Botanic Marketing Portfolio of Products including sweets, confectionery, cookies, breakfast cereals and snacks. The candidate will be responsible for the sales development & merchandising of all relevant brands in specific retail trade channels

Principal Accountabilities

•        Achieve agreed sales targets by following a specific route plan for the territory with set daily / weekly calls to be achieved against minimum               order values
•        Influence ordering at store level (key Stakeholder)
•        Follow up/through on all leads put forward by the Digital Marketing Executive, General Manager and Account teams
•        Servicing of all Customers as per prevailing defined journey plan and achievement of SLA’s
•        Order capture via HHT device
•        Stock rotation
•        Stock management and depot management (where applicable)
•        Best in Class merchandising including implementation of planograms and ensuring SELs in position
•        Capture/Communicate brand and competitor activity
•        When applicable, building, placement and merchandising of branded stands instore
•        Demonstrate flexibility and proactivity in adopting new brands, channels and promotional tools.

Person Specification

• Advanced influencing skills and evidence of delivering influence selling in a previous position/role
• Demonstrated skills in achieving sales growth via new business and organic growth with evidence of delivery in a previous position/role
• Merchandising Experience within the FMCG sector – Van Sales experience essential.
• Candidate should possess strong communication skills and be able to articulate complex commercial offers/deals backed up by marketing messages
• Ability to interface and build positive relationships with retail stakeholders (managers, staff & back store)
• High-energy and self-starter
• Demonstrated commitment to building strong relationships with customer
• Full clean driving licence
