SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER / ETL DEVELOPER
My client is a leading financial service provider who are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join their growing team. They provide a hybrid working model, a fantastic working environment and a great salary.
ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BI Developer, ETL Developer or a Database Developer to step into a Senior Role, showcasing and expanding their skills and knowledge through the delivery of BI information to the entire organisation.
The daily tasks involve developing and designing databases, extracting, transforming and loading data before it is dispersed to the relevant team within the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with the Business Functions and the MI/Reporting Teams to gather data and analytic requirements, KPI definitions, document them and manage the requirements life cycle.
* Understand and be able to explain clearly how data is created and its lineage, its relevance and significance as well as to assess the current status of the analytic architecture and technical processes and to produce findings/recommendations as well as to flag threats, and to drive continuous performance improvement.
* Document, maintain and extend the Business’s analytical data-models – Logical & Physical.
* Be the custodian of the code baseline for data-warehouse, ETL & data integration processes.
* Responsible for supporting and for designing and implementing Business Intelligence and Analytic solutions end-to-end always ensuring adherence to F.A.I.R. principles and approach.
* Support BI tools upgrades in development, testing and documentation.
* Interact with internal Project Teams to effectively design, build, implement, operationalise, and maintain the analytics technical architecture (data-marts, ETL & data integration's, reporting and analytics solutions).
* Liaise with the DBA Team & IT Support to ensure correct data operations and data accessibility.
* Implementing data quality rules end-to-end across the whole analytics architecture.
* Define BI standards, guidelines and best practices for business groups and technical teams.
* Support the Data Governance Manager in the delivery of the Data Strategy and to roll out the and DAMA frameworks across the organisation.
* Ad hoc projects as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 5 year's experience with Microsoft SQL Server Platform (core 2012-2019) and Microsoft BI Stack.
* Strong experience with Reporting & Analytics platforms like Microsoft SSRS and Tableau is required (PowerBI beneficial).
* Additionally, experience with at least language for operations (PowerShell, VB.NET) and analytics (Python, R, SAS, DAX, JavaScript) is required.
* Experience with IT Dev. tools JIRA, GIT, Confluence is required.
* Ability to take initiative and work proactively with operations teams and where needed clients.
* Strong knowledge of data-warehousing and dimensional data modelling.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills.
* EU Citizen or Stamp 4 Visa Holder.
