Cyber Security Product Sales Manager
€45k base + €10k comms
Job Purpose Summary
The Product Sales Manager owns the day to day relationship with their vendor(s) at all levels. This includes management of the internal and external relationships to drive growth for both the vendor and Distributor.
This also includes agreeing and implementing quarterly business plans that provide a platform for new business and existing sales to achieve set revenue and margin targets on a monthly and quarterly basis. These will be reviewed in quarterly business reviews with management.
The role includes SKU management, rebates and pipeline management to ensure vendor and customer satisfaction. The PSM will build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration between Product Management, Sales and Marketing teams in order to align and deliver against agreed business and marketing plans.
The candidate will be focused on achieving KPI's set in line with the Vendor and Company's business strategy and be committed to continuous professional development, to promote and present the key features of the vendor to our customers.
A key part of the role will be engaging and promoting the Vendor with our existing and potential customers by many means of communication including telephone, social media, email, face to face meetings, video conference and more.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Achieve set quarterly sales targets
Pipeline management and weekly forecasting of business generated in collaboration with Sales
Management of internal processes relating to the Vendor
Build and deliver on strategic business plans with the vendor, delivering against pre-agreed KPIs on a quarterly basis
Proactively work with sales to Identify, Recruit, Enable and Develop new customers
Vendor Specialist - Full understanding of technology and products (Not technical)
Enable the sales teams to ensure accurate and timely management of all quotations
Delivery of vendor portfolio training internally and externally
Communicate and articulate the value proposition and strategy to prospects and customers to differentiate the Distributor from its competitors.
Maintain high levels of customer service ensuring that the Distributor remains a valued and key supplier.
Work closely with Marketing to drive brand awareness activity
Drive new product launches and development for the product lines in collaboration with marketing, sales, vendor and support
Always act as an ambassador and representative of the Distributor to ensure a professional image for the Company. Actively contribute and act as a role model to the Distributors values.
Essential Skills & Attributes
Minimum 2 years experience in IT Sales or Vendor management role
Experience in Information Management or Information Security
Product / Vendor Management experience at vendor, reseller or distributor
Strong understanding of the IT Channel
Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate eloquently in both written and verbal formats, both face-to-face and remotely
Mature, responsible and professional attitude to work
Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of different functional areas: Operations, Marketing, Sales, Support, etc.
Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage own time effectively
Proactive work style; ability to take initiative and work well within a busy vibrant sales environment.
Has commercial and business awareness with a good level of negotiation and influencing skills
