BDM – Escapes
GrabOne is Ireland's largest home grown daily deals and local commerce business. We link local and national businesses with consumers through unique and attractive daily deals. A fast paced start-up, we have saved Irish consumers over €10m in our first year with over 500,000 people using our deals to try out great things to eat, see and do with local businesses in Ireland.
We are now sourcing a driven BDM for our Escapes Business. The objective of the BDM – Escapes is to identify key partners and types of travel products in Ireland that would complement GrabOne's offering and to ensure that acquisition targets are exceeded.
The BDM – Escapes will work with the Sales Manager – Escapes, to ensure revenue growth which will be achieved by generating new business, maintaining accounts, giving sales presentations and attending travel industry related functions.
You will bring a strong commercial acumen coupled with market place knowledge and a high level of sales savvy to the role. The ability to establish and develop long term relationships with customers will be a key to the success of the role.
Description:
• As BDM – Escapes you will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:
• Responsible for all elements of account management and developing excellent relationships at the provider level
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships
• Secure and negotiate competitive rates for accommodation packages to meet deal targets
• Take lead on introduction of new initiatives
• Identify promotional opportunities within region (both destination and provider-led)
Profile:
• Minimum of 2-3 years sales and or revenue experience in travel industry
• Strong knowledge of travel distribution and pricing
• Deep understanding of online travel experience
• Great communication and phone presentation skills with the ability to sell at all decision making levels
• Network of contacts in the relevant sector a definite bonus
• Flexible, and able to quickly adapt to new situations
• Demonstrable knowledge/experience of the internet as a commercial tool and interest in social media
• Ability to work on own initiative while maintaining focus and productivity to meet targets and deadlines
• Positive attitude, consultative approach and self-motivation are all essential personal attributes
• Proficiency in all things internet, CMS/CRM & MS Office / GoogleApps
