Account Manager: Building Materials (Timber)

Our client, a leading manufacturer of Building-Related Materials, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage existing clients and attract new clients. As Area Sales Manager, you will have a proven track record of selling Building Materials/Supplies (timber) into the Builders Merchants/Providers sector. As an Area Sales Manager, you must have first-hand building materials knowledge ideally timber, with a strong hunter and leadership style with the ability to identify new business within this sector.

Account Manager - N.West & N.Ireland

Reporting to the Head of Group Sales, this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a dynamic sales team. This is a field sales role, covering the northern half of Ireland, involving repeat selling to an established customer base as well as generating new business. Candidates will be fully responsible for proactively managing their accounts, from achieving sales targets, to maintaining a high level of customer service.

Account Manager
• You must be an ambitious, enthusiastic, self-motivated Sales Professional, with a proven track record in selling timber or building-related products.
• Experience in selling into the builders’ merchant sector would be an advantage.
• Strong Construction background and a key understanding of the industry, ideally Builders Merchants/Providers
• Good communication is essential, as well as the ability to deal with people at all levels of the organisation.
• Competent IT skills required and experience of CRM or similar software would also be an advantage.
• Ability to achieve set targets in a fast-paced competitive environment
