We are looking to appoint a SENIOR SALES ASSISTANT to manage growth and expansion. This is an important position within the company and the appointee will be required to have experience of working at a senior level in a similar organisation. He/she will report directly to the management team.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Multi-functional role with opportunities to receive training in heavy hardware and progress in other departments of the business
- Deliver a high level of customer service, meet and greet customers
- Deliver on weekly sales targets
- Manage, tighten and input stock, reduce slow moving stock and reduce stock shrinkage
- Ensure the shop is well stocked and both indoor and outdoor stock is well displayed and merchandised
- SEL’s; stock offering, ensure everything is scanning, priced and tagged
- Responsible for goods inwards, organised deliveries and train additional team members
- Review margins and light hardware pricing on an ongoing basis
- Working with Reps to upskill on the latest developments in product lines such as in doors,floors, paint, lighting, stoves and ability to
negotiate free stock and execute the latest merchandising techniques
- Work closely with United Hardware
- Contribute observations and ideas for cost control measures
- Run promotions and special offers on an ongoing basis
- Adhere to Health and Safety standards
- Ensure closing down procedures and aisle checks are conducted
- Drive retail sales and become familiar with trade which is 60% of our business
