Sales Manager - Hotel
Our client a prestigious Hotel based in North County Dublin are currently seeking a Sales Manager to join their team.
TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain an up to date knowledge of changing market trends and of client activity with our major competitors.
To solicit business by generating and following up leads by personal visits, telephone sales, organisation of site/hotel show rounds, entertainment, attending trade shows and other promotional events organised by the hotel or where the hotel has a need to be represented.
Assists in the development of annual sales goals.
Assists in the completion of daily & monthly report. Ensures own function operates within cost restraints
Maintains effective correspondence with all accounts and departments within the hotel.
Solicits files on a timely basis to confirm business
Uses outside sales calls to solicit existing and new guests
Contacts in-house guests to foster additional business, repeat bookings, or referrals to other Hotels within the Group.
Coordinates activities related to booked business with other departments
Communicates guests’ requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner
To carry out 10 quality face to face appointments per week. Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan
Maintain & Update Salesforce.com on a daily basis- Ensuring all accounts, contact, opportunities etc are kept up to date to the required Hotel Standards. To be responsible for the account management of a corporate account base as agreed by Director of Sales
To actively participate in associated organisation including social and business events.
To pass a predefined Annual Sales Force Quality Audit Social Media Management Attend launches / functions and act as hostess when required
Marketing & PR- Oversee internal & external production and design of adverts / posters / flyers / tickets
To carry our other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified user of Opera PMS and S&C
Min 2 years’ experience in S&C and configuration
Proficient use of Microsoft Office related products specifically Excel and Outlook
Experience in driving Social Media campaigns
Revenue Management concepts in Sales Management
Proven proactive sales results
Evidence of involvement in successful marketing activities
Implementation of Standards Of Procedure impacting M&E/Rooms Conversion
