Masonry Fixings are a leading supplier of technical products to the construction industry. Our well-established business operates in a niche market and will provide a unique opportunity to work with key international brands in the construction industry by providing specialist technical support on our brands and their usage.

We currently have a vacancy for a Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with relevant sales experience preferably in the construction industry. As Sales Representative you will be responsible for delivering professional, high-quality advice to your customer base to maximise the value and profitability of all sales. The role requires a dynamic, resilient, and flexible individual who possess the motivation to achieve our business results.

Reporting Manager: Jim Humphries, Sales Manager

Geographical Area: Dublin / Southeast

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise selling opportunities, achieve sales and margin targets on a monthly basis
  • Provide up to date technical advice on products to suit the customers requirements
  • Effectively manage customer relations by providing high-quality and prompt support
  • Maximise call rates through the utilisation of a daily, weekly and monthly call/pipeline reports
  • Contact targeted accounts at a frequency relative to their buying pattern and potential sales
  • Provide site testing and training as required
  • Develop existing customer base and actively seek potential new business
  • Provide customer presentations regarding products as required
  • Ensure the product / brand is achieving its maximum potential within the current customer base
  • Report on competitor activity, sales, and targets
  • Liaise with the Accounts Department regarding payments and collections
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager regarding price negotiations and discounts
  • Highlight product / stock requirements with the procurement team
  • Develop and forge a strong working relationship with all departments especially customer service

 Key Attributes & Skills Required:

  • Highly motivated with a passion for sales preferably in the construction industry
  • Proven ability to achieve allocated targets and develop sales opportunities
  • Strong Computer literacy: MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Customer focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual with a willingness to succeed
  • Ability to take ownership and resolve issues
  • Navision skills desirable but not essential
  • Full clean drivers licence essential
