JOB SUMMARY: You will be a key part of our Commercial team calling into stores increasing awareness of GM Marketing’s brand portfolio and ensuring that all opportunities in store to promote these brands, have been maximised.
Whilst this is a sales role, all the stores will already stock some or all of the brands so your persuasive and relationship building skills will be key to ensuring all in store opportunities have been put in place and ensuring all stores in your territory fulfil their potential.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to meet defined growth expectations, develop a pipeline of new business thorough knowledge of the market and the products the Company can provide;
Develop a rapport with new and current customers by ensuring that their needs are met, issues are solved in a timely manner and the relationship is strengthened;
Using your brand awareness and market knowledge make informed recommendations to store managers;
Advise customers on promotions and increase their awareness of the whole product range to enhance sales;
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion;
Conduct in-store merchandising activities ensuring the agreed shelf space, displays and all POS are in place to maximize sales;
Keep up to date with GM stock report to ensure the availability of stock, and when necessary, notify the customer of shortages, out of stocks and approximate back order dates;
Ensure that all data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM system;
Work closely with the Trading and Customer Service team to ensure that all orders are accurately processed and delivered on time and in full to our customers;
Ensure accurate reporting during and after each call on the tablet provided and share invaluable competitor information with the business and your achievements in call;
Monitor your performance to ensure you are on track to continually hit and exceed KPIs and sales targets;
Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams;
Attend and assist at exhibitions and trade shows to promote company products as and when required;
Absolute awareness at all times of the delivery demands of clients and the required quality of our products/services;
Provide general support to management by being flexible to work additional hours and assist with overflow work from colleagues as needed to ensure that the business runs smoothly;
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating and collaborating with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management;
Participate in all essential and required training to carry out your role efficiently and safely;
Participate in and attend departmental or Company meetings as required;
Ensure that company health, safety and environmental policies are observed at all times.
Location: Home based with travel to Head Office and new, current, and lapsed clients within your geographical area as required.
Hours of work: Hours will accumulate to a total of 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm
