Established in 1988, Codico Distributors are the leading supplier of industrial coding and marking equipment in Ireland. We provide end of line printing solutions to many blue-chip manufacturers and top exporters in the pharmaceutical, medical device, food and beverage sectors, among others.
The Technical Sales Engineer's primary role is to sell printing technology solutions to the manufacturing base in the Munster Area. This will include Laser marking, Ink Jet, Drop on Demand, Thermal transfer and labelling systems.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
1. Experience of working in a targeted sales environment, being self-motivated and target driven.
2. The role is Multi discipline, and involves a combination of Sales, Business Development and Project management
3. Willing to travel within the assigned area to maximise the business potential
4. Experience of manufacturing/ Automation or the packaging industry a distinct advantage
5. Manage the sales cycle from initial enquiry stage to final acceptance and after sales support
6. Must be able to deal with key stakeholders (Business owners, Managing Directors, Production/ Engineering Managers) to deliver commercial proposals in a timely fashion.
7. Prepare sales reports to management on a regular basis
Qualifications & desirable requirements:
· Third level degree in a technical or business field.
· Strong written and oral communication skills, especially demonstration skills.
· Ability to negotiate pricing and sales conditions within given guidelines.
· Self- motivated and capable of working with autonomy.
· Conduct onsite demonstrations and trials.
· Regular update and maintenance of customer information, quotations and sales opportunities via CRM system.
· This role requires the management and growth of the existing customer base as well as business development with new clients.
· Works as part of a team.
· Work with Marketing to develop sales opportunities for your assigned territory.
· Ideally 2-3 years of continuous employment in a Technical sales role.
· Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills.
· Strong PC skills, including use of MS office suite.
· Experience with CRM systems, SAP, Salesforce etc.
