Technical sales engineer, conveyor & drive belting, Ireland south

Entirely owned and managed within Ireland since 1919, RF Clarke Ltd is the market leading specialist manufacturer and supplier of bespoke light industrial conveyor and drive belting to manufacturing and process industries in Ireland & beyond.   The successful candidate will be able to work closely with customers in the food, packaging, printing, pharmaceutical. materials handling and many other manufacturing sectors to identify the best technical solution to their conveying and drive requirements from a very wide range of materials.

Your role

• Achieve sales targets
• Maintain relationships with existing customers
• Identify customer requirements and recommend technical solutions
• Seek new opportunities at existing and potential customers
• Market research and analysis
• Liaise with sales support team and Production department
• Provide regular reports of activities

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• 3rd Level qualification in mechanical or production engineering; or equivalent experience and qualification
• Demonstrate an ability quickly to understand technical problems and find a solution
• Sales experience preferably in our key industry sectors: food processing, materials handling, packaging and related areas
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Bring a positive and eager attitude to our sales team
• Ability to work independently (after suitable introductory period), identify new prospects and develop into customers
• Experience with conveyors, materials handling or belt drive systems will be an advantage
• Proficiency in all MS Office software
• A full clean driving licence
