General Hardware Supplies Ltd has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and competent team leader to be its new shop floor manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing and effective management of staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in the hardware/DIY industry.
The responsibilities will include ensuring individual and staff targets are achieved.
The candidate will play a key role in the day to day management of the store and ordering and costing of stock. They must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and reporting skills.
Responsibilities
-A strong ability to drive and convert sales both individually and as a team leader
-A keen interest in generating new ideas and promotions for the store
-Plan, implement and evaluate present company strategies, policies and procedures
-Demonstrate a willingness to participate in the change management process
-Evaluate a customer’s needs and build productive long lasting relationships
-Provide management with daily updates
-Daily review of quotations and customer contact with view to close sales
-Replenishing stock, stock control and supplier negotiation
-Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory
Requirements
-Strong product knowledge of Timber, Building Materials and DIY products
-Proven sales experience and track record of over-achieving quota
-Can work to agreed structure and is fully accountable to management
– Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
– Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
– Self-motivated and driven
-Ability to be an effective manager
-Strong influential skills
