e|net, Ireland’s largest open access network operator and the company responsible for managing the State’s fibre-optic Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), is seeking to recruit an [b]experienced sales and business development expert. [/b]
e|net provide a wide range of telecoms services on a wholesale basis and have become the provider of choice for fibre network services to the telecommunications industry in Ireland. The company has been growing rapidly and has recently completed seven consecutive years of growth in excess of 20%. e|net is now looking for a further sales and business development expert to join our growing team. [b]The person will ideally be based out of Limerick but alternative locations will be considered.[/b] The majority of your role will be externally focused on supporting customer requirements. The primary focus is to enable, drive and elevate our position and gain access into the wholesales telecom’s market in Ireland. This person will steer the implementation of strategic initiatives to accelerate growth in trading and prospective accounts.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:
• Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of the most effective sales strategy for your carrier base that results in the achievement of revenue targets.
• Re-contract services already in situ with carrier base prior to them coming out of contract.
• Identify new carriers; engaging with, presenting to and signing agreements and new revenue lines.
• Ensure all sales orders meet e|net finance and sales management requirements.
• Facilitate structured feedback to different areas of e|net’s business regarding client needs, operational needs, business opportunities and marketing/sales programmes.
• Provide executive level representation at customer, prospect meetings and technology events.
• Work closely with product management to channel feedback on product features and functions requirements, trends, pricing and events.
• Develop creative selling techniques based on market/product knowledge and work with your colleagues to measure effectiveness.
• Assist in developing e|net’s brand identity and recognition in the marketplace.
• Provide accurate and timely forecasts using appropriate sales tools and processes and maintain all relevant information about customers, prospects, campaigns and leads etc.
• Work with different teams in e|net’s to ensure business is transacted to customer’s expectations.
• Other duties as required.
[red][b]Required Skills / Experience:[/b][/red]
• 3+ years of experience in external sales selling ICT solutions and services in Ireland.
• Knowledge and experience of telecoms services (Ethernet, SDH and dark fibre etc).
• Demonstrated sales record of selling to senior representatives from all types of operators in Ireland.
• Record of success in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment.
• Flexible individual capable of adapting in a high-growth dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Persuasive, engaging and a good listener able to identify and adapt to different clients.
• Excellent skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Team player, motivated, driven, enthusiastic, able to contribute positively to the team and throughout the organisation; but also able to maintain a high-level of autonomy.
