Treacys Hotel Monaghan is the latest addition to Treacys Hotel Group recently purchased and due to open in June 2017.
We are now recruiting for a Sales &Events Manager to develop rooms, weddings and conference business for this brand new hotel.
Reporting to the General Manager the successful person will be part of a dynamic team tasked with driving the sales and marketing strategy for this new hotel.
The role will involve dealing with potential clients face to face and over the telephone and will include arranging show rounds and site visits which must be conducted in a professional manner at all times.
You will be responsible for managing the administration process from the initial enquiry through to the conference or event on the day; this will include managing the negotiation and contractual agreements.
You will also be one of the main contacts for the event on the day and prior to the event to ensure all the necessary information is collated correctly and distributed to the relevant departments in the hotel.
You will be expected to work to meet budgets and targets and also be responsible for up-selling all products and services that are available at every opportunity.
To handle all aspects of the sales process with professionalism from the planning stages right through to the invoicing stage.
The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient is crucial to this role.
The ideal candidate exudes a high level of professionalism, sales technique proficiency, and hospitality.
Personal Requirements
Third Level or equivalent qualification in Hospitality/Tourism/Business/Marketing.
3+ Consecutive years experience in a similar role.
Strong client facing sales skills in terms of negotiating and closing new business opportunities
Strong communication skills and presentation skills with a strong focus on quality customer service
Passion to succeed against set business targets.
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proven record of willingness to take the initiative and adopt a proactive approach.
Extremely self motivated to work well on your own initiative and the ability to multi task.
Strong computer and digital marketing skills are a required.
Full clean drivers license.
