Our Client a leading 5* hotel is now recruiting for a Sales & Events Manager to increase revenue and maximise yield for rooms, conference and banqueting and food and beverage
Selling and co-ordinating Conferences, Weddings, Seminars, Exhibitions, Product Launches, Private Dinners/Lunches and other private functions from the initial booking stage to the end of the specific event; e.g. from sale to function sheet production to final billing. Proactively securing and managing corporate business and room nights.To contribute to and implement the Sales and Marketing plans for rooms, food and beverage and conference and banqueting so as to maximise revenue and profitability for the hotel.
* To plan, organise and executive a schedule of sales appointments to existing and new business customers within the corporate & conference market sector and any other potential clients.
* • To ensure all sales queries are handled promptly and efficiently.
* • To be fully aware of our competitors and their rates.
* • To be fully aware of and promote the Hotel brand.
* • To assist in the implementation of the hotel’s sales and marketing plan.
* • To compile sales reports.
* • To update all sales information.
* • To be aware and assist in the business activities of the hotel on a weekly basis.
* • To plan and attend showarounds, family trips etc.
* • To effectively communicate with hotel reservations, front office, events and accounts.
* • To assist in the production of sales and hotel brochures.
* • Ensure all administration work is completed.
* • To attend meetings as required.
Ideal Candidate
• 2-3 years Previous experience as a Wedding coordinator/ Sales Executive in a 4-5* property which is well recognized for excellence, innovation and high standards
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills
• Highly motivated and highly motivating
• Excellent personality and high standards of customer care and process management
Must be a car owner with a full clean drivers licence .
