SALES ENGINEERING MANAGER

Applications are currently invited for the role of SALES ENGINEERING MANAGER.  A key team member in the growth and development of the Business, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Sales and Project Engineering Team and for achieving budget objectives.  Experience in a similar service industry is essential, i.e. water, process water, filtration, air, gas, waste, compressor. The successful candidate will have a Third Level Engineering Degree (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical).

Key Responsibilities will include the following:

1. Safe-guard our leadership position in the Irish market and continue to seek out new profitable opportunities to expand our core business with customers within our market sectors, i.e. Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare, Food & Bev, Research, Micro-Electronics.
2. Develop excellent networking relationships with Engineering Houses and our customers.
3. Keep up-to-date with market conditions and market trends.
4. Design and implement an ambitious growth strategy for the Department.
5. Achieve the financial objectives of the Sales and Engineering Department illustrating continuous revenue growth and profitability.
6. Manage the Operational, Financial, Administrative and HR responsibilities of the Department acting decisively and driving performance and efficiencies at all times.
7. In cooperation with the Finance Manager, prepare budgets and produce weekly revenue figures; month end figures; forecasts; cost accruals; recharges etc.
8. Lead, manage and develop the Team (of approx. 10) through continuous communication and coaching and conduct regular team meetings and annual performance appraisal reviews.
9. Build and maintain strong business relationships and deliver on customer care.
10. Comply with all Health & Safety requirements and undertake this responsibility seriously.
11. Meet all administrative responsibilities and deadlines as agreed.
12. Pro-actively participate in management meetings and, as a senior manager, play a 'hands-on' role in the growth and success of the Company.

The Ideal Candidate will:

1. Hold a Third Level Engineering Degree (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical).  An additional business qualification would be an advantage.
2. Have 3-4 years' proven senior management experience in a similar industry supplying services (i.e. water, process water, air, filtration, gas, waste, compressor).
3. Have excellent people management skills and be currently managing a team of 5-20 people.
4. Have a suitable profile and the proven ability to develop strong business relationships and deliver on customer care.
5. Be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual capable of working on own initiative with the ability to prioritise and manage oneself so as to deliver on commitments and objectives.
6. Have a good financial understanding and commercial awareness and have proven success in preparing, managing and achieving budgets and generating revenue growth and profitability.
7. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Have excellent English both oral and written.
9. Have excellent computer literacy and attention to detail.
10. Have relevant knowledge of the Irish market and be able to interpret performance and market trends.
11. Hold a valid Driving Licence and undertake the business travel required to include overnight business travel.
