Overview of the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI)
The Restaurants Association of Ireland is the representative body for the restaurant industry in Ireland. The RAI now represents in excess of 3,000 members, with establishments representing full service restaurants, coffees shops, hotel restaurants, gastro pubs, golf clubs and cookery schools. We also have over 200 trade partners, businesses that are our approved suppliers of products and services for restaurants. The remit of the Restaurants Association of Ireland is to defend and protect the interests of its members.
The RAI is also responsible for running the annual Irish Restaurant Awards, Foodie Destinations, Annual AGM, Conference & Presidents Dinner, Regional branch meetings and partners to various charity events.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Field based
· Connaught + Cavan, Clare, Donegal & Monaghan
· Part time – 3 days per week
· Engagement & relationship management of current members within your assigned territory
· Recruitment of new establishment members within your assigned territory
· Retention & renewal of current establishment members within your assigned territory
· Identify sales opportunities in both your existing client portfolio (provided to you by the association) and through active prospecting
· Hit and exceed sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
· Completely understand our membership offering
· Be sensitive to client needs and share insights with management
· Be willing and able to complete required admin
Skills Required:
· An understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industries a clear advantage
· At least 3 years field sales experience
· Strong sales ability with consistent record of hitting targets
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Experience with Salesforce desired, but not necessary
· Friendly and approachable
· Organised
· Full clean driving licence and access to own transport essential
