Experienced Business Development Manager – Water Management Industry

€35-50 K PA depending on experience.

SES Water Management are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding business. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth in new markets and the development of existing markets. 

This role will appeal to candidates who are ambitious and interested in taking the next step in their career. 

The role will require regular travel for customer site visits and attendance at trade events, networking events as well as being based in the head office. 

Travel to the UK on occasion may also be required. 

The Successful candidate will be responsible for:

·         planning, managing and developing the market growth strategy for our range of services.

·         translating market demands into business opportunities.

·         Coordinating workflow with the operations team and

·         maintaining relationships with key customer contacts on all levels along with developing new customer contacts.

Who we are looking for:

·           Minimum 5 years of outbound sales experience in a similar role

·           Experience of the water industry in Ireland is a key requirement.

·           Previous experience in the Water Industry overseas, especially in the UK would be beneficial.

·           A background in dealing with projects with Local Authorities, Irish Water and Consultant Engineering Firms would be advantageous.

·           Prior track record of achieving sales targets/goals

·           Computer literacy with a technical background would be an advantage

·           A full, valid driver’s license.

·           Ability to translate the company's strategic plan into tangible activity plans.

·           Ability to liaise with customers across Ireland

·           Ability to build and maintain contacts on managerial level with customers or potential customers

·           Develop partnerships with other companies within the water sector.

·           Monitor trends in the market as well as competition to remain competitive in the market.

About you

·           strong knowledge of the Water industry, including the domestic and public sectors market, (and a relevant qualification).

·           experience of designing and implementing strategies to develop market growth

·           Strong communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills are also key requirements together with the ability to work as part of a team.

Main responsibilities of the role:

·           planning, managing and developing the market growth strategy for our range of services.

·           translating market demands into business opportunities.

·           Coordinating workflow with the operations team and

·           maintaining relationships with key customer contacts on all levels along with developing new customer contacts.

·           Analysing current, past and potential new customers to identify opportunities to expand the customer base and the service portfolio,

·           Focusing on the capture of new business from the market, as well as developing the workload for larger existing customers.

·           Identifying and Preparing of Tenders for upcoming project opportunities.

·           Preparing and negotiating all offers and contracts consistent with company guidelines.

·           Ensuring a successful handover of secured new works to the operations team, in order to ensure a positive customer experience.
