Business Development Executive Spain

My client is one of the most significant players in the global insurance and financial products market.

In recent years, the Group has made a significant return to 14 central-eastern European countries and has set up offices in the main markets of the Far East, among which India and China; in particular, in China it has become just after few years of operation the leader among the insurance companies with foreign equity interests.
In its core insurance business, this Group is primarily focused on the life segment, where it is the European leader. Its product line consists mainly of savings and protection policies, which account for the majority of the portfolio, alongside unit-linked and supplementary pension policies.

Distinguishing Features
This is an innovative and leadership role in business development which will focus on new account growth with B2B partners; in Spain.

Must bring senior sales and account management experience to the role and demonstrate advanced influencing and negotiation skills; and be an effective team player. The nature of this role requires commitment to travel.

Advanced sales skills
Marshals key arguments skilfully and is confident presenter at Board room level
Will be able to persuade and influence others both internally within Generali and in key customer accounts
Understands key business drivers within sales prospects and readily relates to Generali product / capabilities
Acts as a consultant to existing and potential partners, developing innovative ideas and responses which can be converted into business opportunities

Advanced management skills
The job requires conceptual thinking and working from first principles.
Ability to solve multidimensional problems involving issues of principle, commercial considerations and legal considerations
Must be a competent Project Manager, able to scope the dimensions and complexity of a potential project

Required / Desirable Qualifications and Experience
At least 7 – 10 years prior experience in the finance services industry with a proven track record as a Senior Sales / Business Development Management / Executive in corporate sales.
Typically graduate qualified and will have appropriate Sales / Marketing / Financial qualifications either ACII /FCII or other applicable qualification.
Fluent English and Spanish is vital
