Location: Field Based (ideally located in central Midlands)
Salary: circa 25’000 – Commission – 13’000

Min Requirements:
5 years’ experience in distributor sales selling air tools
Our client offers the manufacturing industry class leading tooling products (pneumatic, electric & accessories). Our target markets include Automotive, Automotive Aftermarket, Air and Spacecraft, Light Assembly and General Industry. CP Division operates globally with primary focus in Midlands America, Europe, India, China and Brazil, and employs approximately 900 people worldwide.
We are currently looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager for the Midlands of England. You will be asked to grow the clients business via distribution to the Vehicle Service, MRO and Industrial segments.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager and working with other key personnel, you will be required to implement a specific business plan including sales, marketing and promotional activities for each distributor.
The main function is to facilitate profitable growth by;
Developing existing and new channels of distribution for the clients ranges of pneumatic products.
Building an effective business relationship with distribution and customers at all levels and undertakes presentations in order to enhance the company profile.
Supporting the business growth through workouts, demonstrations and exhibitions.
Working with National Distribution branches in the area, managing the sale of all products and influencing the sale at branch level.
Developing a distribution structure focused specifically on each product portfolio.
Organising and managing regular and sustained marketing campaigns and Promotions including catalogues, merchandise, exhibitions.
Ensuring that the chosen distribution channels are aware and trained on the relevant products and services.
Management of new product introduction into the market, responsible for product launches, training, evaluation.
Effective provision of sales data, including the timely recordings of visit, action reports and analysis of sales performance against budget.
The role will be based in the Midlands. The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, and be very flexible in their approach to working. They must be motivated and driven to succeed as reflected in the OTE package being offered.
Experience in selling industrial pneumatic / electric equipment is preferred but not essential but excellent organisational skills, plus good business acumen, are required for this interesting and challenging role.
Experience in marketing and distribution channel management is favourable. Qualifications should preferably be to HNC equivalent.
