Our founders George Karibian and Jan Farrarons , had a eureka moment one night while sat outside the Bellagio hotel in early 2009. They realised that the card processing market in the UK needed a near-seismic shake up in order to prevent small businesses from being overcharged and under-served by the major banks that dominated the sector at that time.

After spending a year building a technology platform and management team capable of providing an unparalleled customer experience, Paymentsense launched in early 2010 and we have continued to deliver great service for our customers ever since.

After signing up over 20,000 customers in the first two years, Paymentsense became the UK’s largest merchant service provider. Wind the clock forward to 2014 and we now have offices in London, Boston and Mumbai and a customer base of over 30,000 who process over £3 billion worth of card transactions per year.

The company is continuing to grow at an incredible rate and we’re now the 24th fastest growing business in Europe and ranked the 7th fastest growing tech company in the UK.
