[b]END USER SALES MANAGER[/b]
Our client is a long established and strongly branded distributor of engineering and industrial supplies. The company is a member of a larger group which encompasses some of the largest distributors of industrial products in the Irish market. The company operates first class modern inventory management and logistics systems and processes and has an enviable track record of success and growth. As part of a strategic restructuring, our client wishes to appoint an End User Sales Manager. The product offering includes a comprehensive range of MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) products including power tools, power tool accessories, hand tools, fasteners, lubricants, PPE and related industrial and safety products. The company’s customer base includes semi-state companies, local authorities, ultilities,  large manufacturing plants, mining companies and small fabricators.
The appointee will have responsibility for sales within a significant end user business throughout the 32 counties of Ireland. You will manage a small team to include a sales desk team & an external sales force.
[b]Main Duties & Responsibilities:[/b]
•Assist in the formulation and implementation of the sales strategy.
•Motivate, control, direct and help train the sales teams to achieve objectives.
•Hold regular meetings with each member of the team to review performance, communicate targets, discuss individual needs and develop programmes to increase sales.
•Regularly visit customers in each sales territory, to maintain excellent customer relations and to identify new sales opportunities.
•Identify new areas of sales opportunity for the company.
•Gather market intelligence on customer and competitor activities, to enable the development of targeted marketing campaigns.
•Provide regular reports to management on sales activities, achievements and opportunities.
•The evaluation, appraisal and constant review of the team and individual performances.
•Highlight any training needs and have them agreed and carried out.
•Recruitment and training of new sales staff as required.
•Interface with the other departments of the company to maximise opportunities within the market.
•Assist in the development of major accounts
•Organise and attend local and in-company exhibitions and conferences.
•Ensure company terms and conditions are adhered to at all times.
[b]Qualifications & Experience:[/b]
•An outstanding sales person with minimum of six years sales experience in end user sales of industrial products.
•Minimum of two years sales management/supervision experience.
•A high quality candidate who is commercially focused, financially aware and motivated by achieving results.
•A track record of having grown market share in a competitive field with the full support and cooperation of an experienced sales team.
•A strong customer service orientation and extremely proactive in the area of new business and market development.
•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, negotiate, motivate and influence at all levels.
•Knowledge of modern IT inventory and sales reporting systems
