Software Configuration Specialist (.Net)
The Role
We are currently recruiting a Software Configuration Specialist in .Net to join our development team in a fast-paced cutting-edge agile development environment. This is permanent role based in our technology hub in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities will include:
• Managing heterogeneous distributed build and deploy environments
• Deploying, configuring and debugging C#.NET services
• Executing, planning and managing changes as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
The Candidate
Applicants must have the following:
• 3+ years experience in C# software development with at least one year in a similar role to the above
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with Visual Studio and msbuild
• Scripting with Powershell, bash, Python or similar.
Applicants will preferably have:
• Experience with Windows application installation technologies, particularly MSI
• Experience with Ruby
• Experience with Windows Services Deployment and management
• Understanding of configuration and inventory management system requirements
• Windows and Linux systems administration a distinct advantage
• Administration of IIS, MSMQ, SQL Server a plus
• Linux experience a plus.
• Git and GitHub knowledge a plus
• Configuration management tools such as SCCM, Chef, Puppet a major plus.
