The unique initiative in Ireland to combine Roche Applied Science (RAS) and Molecular Diagnostics (MD) portfolios into one sales force has further expanded the customer reach of our Company, facilitating multiple analytical options to teaching hospitals, academic centres of excellence and industrial sites.
The RAS/MD sales force in Ireland is a progressive, fast-paced team, covering a wide spectrum of state-of-the-art genomics and cellular analytical instrumentation into every research institution in Ireland, plus CE-IVD instrumentation for biomedical applications such as virology and bacteriology screening through to diagnostic genomic analysis for oncology and pharmacogenomic markers.
A position is now available within the Greater Dublin territory to become part of a highly specialised and dynamic sales team, dealing with the combined RAS and MD portfolios. This opportunity will provide sales and marketing experience in a rapidly expanding territory, and will develop individual skill sets for future roles within the Company. Furthermore, visibility is offered across the entire Roche Diagnostics Business Area range (including Centralised, Decentralised, Point Of Care, Professional Services) to further enhance the Roche solution offering to our customers.
The Greater Dublin territory is a key market for the RAS/MD sales contribution to the total Irish team. Consequently, we are seeking a dedicated, hard-working individual who will quickly assimilate the technology and process background for the role, in addition to orientating within the Greater Dublin territory and customer base for seamless continuance of the RAS/MD business.
[b][red]The successful applicant will be qualified to at least BSc level (ideally holding a postgraduate qualification at MSc/PhD level with a strong background in Life Science).[/b][/red]
He/she will have a strong background in genomics and cellular analysis, with proven experience in instrumentation sales and customer management. A deep understanding of quantitative PCR and CE-IVD processes is essential.
Of major importance is the ability to be a team player in addition to working on one’s own, and demonstrating creative approaches to the local market. As this position is based in the Greater Dublin territory, it is expected that the person will also reside within the territory.
This opportunity to join the RAS/MD sales team will expand the experience and skill-set of the selected individual, allowing for sales and marketing development and a broadened exposure of the other Business Areas within Roche Diagnostics.
