The Person
We are looking for a technically minded Key Account Manager with a proven track record in high level management of a portfolio of accounts whilst also developing new business from existing clients and actively seeking new sales opportunities.
Previous experience within the Engineering / Environmental industries will be beneficial.
The Position
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
- Develop new business with existing clients, carry out research and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
- Meet and exceed all agreed upon Sales targets and KPIs within schedule
- Create written communication, reports, proposals and presentations to a professional level through effective sales reporting and use of CRM systems
Essential Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Project Manager or relevant role
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Be technical minded and solution focused
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation, presentation abilities and results driven
- Strong time management, verbal and written communication skills
- Keen focus on the value of customer’s, people and company culture
