The company is an innovative energy services company focused on lighting. We provide companies with the ability to transition to high quality LED lighting for a fixed monthly fee.  The savings unlocked are always more than the monthly service fee, so companies can actually unlock hidden profit from their old lights.  In addition to a maintenance free, capital free solution which reduces a company’s carbon footprint, moving to LED lighting unlocks many other benefits such as improved employee morale and general welfare.80% of companies have not yet transitioned to LED lighting, so the opportunity is huge. 

The Role

This is a new business role. You will work alongside marketing to generate leads, in addition to your own research.The focus will largely be UK businesses. This is all about engaging with target customers in  education, commercial, industrial sectors - opening the door and creating the opportunity to discuss with the facilities, operations or finance contacts with a view to getting their interest, creating the opportunity for the company to have a face to face meeting, and ultimately audit their building so that a self-funded, energy efficiency LED proposal can be presented.You will then ensure that the sales engineer and client are managed through the process to ensure that there is no fall out and that your client opportunity remains engaged throughout the process. 

What you will be doing

• Originating opportunities from your own outbound activity 

• Following up with warm prospects, who have engaged with the company through one of the various marketing initiatives – Direct mail, PR, website or from an event.

• Once connected with on the phone, you will then qualify the client and project opportunity given a set number of key criteria 

• You will have to educate the client, create the desire and build the relationship over the phone based on our strong value proposition 


• Perfect Fluency in English

• Minimum 4 years commercial experience – this can be broad and could be across marketing, sales, account management – what is important is that you have a solid grasp of business 

• Minimum 2 year’s experience new business sales experience 

• Bright, enthusiastic, passionate, goal oriented, target driven and motivated to succeed

• Confidence and charisma over the phone 

• Self starter who shows initiative 

• Track record in success and achieving 

• Ambition  

Ideally, you should also have:

• Experience of selling a service or solution 

• Personal interest in renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change

• Previous experience using LinkedIn

• MS Office and CRM competent (Salesforce is a plus)
