The Sales and Marketing Manager reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for driving growth in the business. This role is a newly created senior management position. The remit for the successful candidate includes increased sales and profitability, and business expansion through the introduction of new product offerings. Together with the Managing Director, the post holder will develop a targeted business plan that includes a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy, with specific goals to be achieved within a 1-2 year period.
Key areas of responsibility include strategic business development, and marketing and sales management, to meet agreed targets.
Key activities include implementation of new initiatives and business policy and procedure development, to achieve enhanced customer relationship management in a team based environment.
The successful candidate will have a third level qualification in business or sales and marketing management.
A proven track record in achieving sales targets, together with a minimum of five years experience in the service sector, is required. A good understanding of e-commerce is also a pre-requisite.
Candidates with excellent communication skills should be able to demonstrate allied competencies in negotiation, leadership and people management.
Well developed skills in finance and reporting are also required.
As this is a small team, candidates will need to demonstrate they can be innovative and operate effectively, with a high level of flexibility.
