As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for negotiating and purchasing products and services from suppliers.    

In this key role, you will have the opportunity to manage and build relationships with suppliers across a diverse spend portfolio.  

You’ll get involved in negotiating and ordering materials including scientific products and components, as well as maintaining inventory status and abiding by the principles of lean management.    

Communicating with suppliers on a regular basis, you will ensure the timely receipt of goods at the expected quality, prepare and issue quote requests and carry out quote analysis and evaluation.    

Interested? To be considered, you must have:    

- Negotiation experience gained in a similar buying role    
- A CIPS qualification or the willingness to work towards this    
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint    
- At a minimum, a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a scientific, engineering or business-related discipline

Driven and self-motivated, as a Buyer, you must have strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills with the ability to plan and manage your workload effectively.
