A field based role for a proven BDM covering Connaught and North Leinster with the primary objective to ensure that the brand is well represented across fuel dealers.
Our client are an ambitious oil company with a major presence across the Irish forecourt sector. With ambitious plans for the Irish business, our client has exclusively engaged us to identify their new Dealer Regional Manager for the Connaught and North Leinster region with Meath, West Meath and Louth included.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
To develop a close working relationship with all Independent Dealer customers.
To ensure that contracted supply terms are adhered to.
New Business Development
To identify, canvas and negotiate with potential new customers in the Independent Dealer sector.
To prepare and submit new Dealer proposals for review and approval.
To assist in the identification of suitable service station sites for company acquisition along with the provision of the appropriate backup information to support company appraisals.
To support the Fuel Card team and to identify and capture details of potential fuel card customers/businesses.
To ensure that all Dealers fully support tactical and local promotions in accordance with the relevant guidelines.
To submit proposals for opening and tactical promotions with the support of the Head of Marketing.
To ensure the correct POS material is displayed at all times.
To ensure that brand identity guidelines are strictly adhere to and to take appropriate action when issues arise.
To fully utilise the company CRM system and ensure all information is kept up-to-date.
To provide a monthly update against agreed action plans.
To report on specific business matters as and when requested.
To provide a weekly advance activity plan.
Attend and provide assistance at Bi-annual Retailer Conferences.
Attend and represent the company at customer businesses events and social events.
To attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, trade shows and other activities which may involve away from home duties as directed.
To carry out any other duties that may be required from time to time.
The ideal candidate will have a tangible track record and network selling to the Irish forecourts. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Qualifications and Experience
At least five years’ experience in a fast moving business to business sales environment. Ideally with experience selling into forecourts.
Business development experience and a proven track record of meeting targets.
Excellent communication and influencing skills to build cross functional relationships.
High level of commercial acumen.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Full clean driving license.
