Part of Grafton Group Plc, Grafton Merchanting ROI is a significant player in the builder’s merchanting industry and a leader in Ireland and the UK.
Within Ireland, they also operate a strong DIY retailing organisation with stores nationwide and a kitchen business operating under a number of brands. They are now looking for a number of Technical Sales Representatives to join their team at their offices across Ireland.
This is the perfect role for a construction, engineering or technical sales professional with a background within the insulation sector to take on a new challenge with a national company.

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be tasked with generating sales, managing customer relationships and developing construction-related activity with key customers.
Reporting to an Area Manager, you will focus on sales of Baumit external wall insulation for customers across Ireland and occasionally the UK.
You’ll engage with key strategic customers and potential new accounts, build strong relationships and promote insulation products and services. Regularly visiting customers, you will prepare quotes and account plans, ensure payment terms are adhered to and support your work through accurate administrative activity.
Additionally, you will take charge of the commercial management of project activity. You will work to ensure maximum commercial advantage is obtained and technical resources and project specifications are utilised effectively.
Interested? To be considered, you will need:
- At least two years’ experience in a technical sales role in a construction related company or B2B
- Sales management and/or KAM experience including the use of a CRM system
- Excellent knowledge of external wall insulation systems and related insulation products
- Good knowledge of the construction process
- Higher levels of academic achievement, ideally in business, marketing or a construction related discipline, OR significant construction experience
Dedicated and driven, as a Technical sales Representative, you will also need outstanding communication skills, the ability to forge strong working relationships and a close attention to detail.
