We are currently recruiting for a Area Sales Manager for a global business that specialise in access solutions, locking systems and room safes. This is a field based position.

My client are synonymous with hotel guestroom locking systems and lead the market globally in this arena. Quality, service and innovation are key drivers of their business from the products they manufacture and sell to the people they choose to join their business.

This is a excellent opportunity for a self starter with a proven track record in business development.

Market Sector: Hotels, Serviced Apartments, Student Accommodation

Area to be covered

Ireland (Northern & the Republic)

Duties will include

* Following up on all leads generated in the area as well as prospecting for business using own initiative
* Targeting the core markets highlighted above during the various phases of the decision making process to ensure that AAH secures the specification and the business
* Working with colleagues where key customers projects cross sales boundaries
* Put together an annual business plan for developing area sales, maintain and report on progress to plan
* Attend quarterly sales meetings
* Ensure that AAH quote for every opportunity in the designated area and markets
* Ensuring that the company’s CRM system is kept updated with all project activity

Candidate Profile:

* Experience working in specification sales or an associated industry ( selling to architects, main contractors, electrical contractors, hotels, student accommodation providers )
* A successful track record in specification sales
* Experience of selling into capital projects with focus on quality not price
* Knowledge of the hotels market would be advantageous but not prerequisite
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Extremely IT literate and comfortable using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experienced in using CRM systems to track and monitor projects and to report on activity
* Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
* An aptitude for absorbing technical information
* Self-starter
* Results orientated, determined and enthusiastic
