We are a leading fabric and interior furnishings brand based in Glasgow, operating across the UK and worldwide.
The creation and design of our products takes place in our in-house design studio, where our talented team create unique products, furniture, cushions, lamp shades and much more. As well as designing we also print our own fabrics, using state of the art technology. Inspiring a worldwide customer base, our customers’ ranges from interior designers, garden centres and gift shops to leading department stores.
Job Purpose Summary:
Developing sales, sales performance and achieving agreed targets. Managing and developing customer accounts. An ambassador for the Company delivering high levels of accurate, quality work and providing outstanding customer service.
Key responsibilities:
Maximising existing client portfolios whilst developing new customer accounts across your territory.
Working closely with senior management to define and embed the culture and values that are key to the business
Servicing the needs of existing customers and increase business opportunities through various routes to market
Complete all relevant internal documentation and ensure compliance
Conduct market research into the industry and keep up-to-date with products and competitors
Attending various trade shows/exhibitions throughout the year
Updating and managing diary in line with company requirements
Desirable skills and experience
Proven track history as a sales person
At least five years of relevant experience in a similar role
Experience of home decoration and textiles
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Business acumen
Initiative and enthusiasm
Excellent communication and “people” skills
Good IT, budget and report writing skills
Bright, positive, outgoing personality, with a passion for meeting new people and building and developing relationships with customers
Able to problem-solve, with a positive “can do” attitude
Able to work under pressure, with a flexible attitude to the working day
Reliable and adaptable team-player
Back ground in furniture or fabric sales would be desirable but not essential
Full driving licence
