The Company:

Established for over 100 years, this organisation have carved out a key position within their market as one of the top players in a competitive environment. They currently turn over a revenue figure in the Billions and they continue to grow. As a whole, they sell a wide range of catering equipment and supplies into the hospitality sector and operate in numerous countries worldwide.

Due to continued success, they now seek a Category Manager for their business, based in Dublin. This role is a new addition to their team.

The Role – Category Manager:

This role will predominantly be based in their office in Dublin. The new Category Manager will be responsible for dealing and negotiating with existing suppliers, as well as sourcing and evaluating new suppliers, for their janitorial, hygiene and cleaning supplies business. You will be responsible for cost price management and you will liaise with internal stake holders in the sales and marketing department as a product expert, recommending product categories for cataloguing and promotional activities. On occasion, some travel is required to attend supplier meetings and events

For this Category Manager role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

* You must have a track record in a similar product sourcing / procurement position
* Must be a strong negotiator
* Ideally, you will have worked with a large number of SCUs
* Strong commercial acumen and numerically
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* You must be driven, ambitious and self-motivated
