RESPONSIBILITIES
* Working with and supporting the Ethical & OTC team on developing joint business plans with selected manufacturers.
* Manage buying of the prescription drugs head office systems for symbol brands.
* Working closely with the Symbol Buying and Territory Management team to drive the Ethical & OTC strategy for the buying of symbols brands.
* Responsible for ensuring the system is up to date and accurate in line with Net Pricing & Stock availability
* Assist in the development of KPI Symbol reports aligned to the business needs to include;
* Support symbol group recruitment & onboarding process through the analysis of customer data
* Support the symbol group territory managers in relation to commercial queries
* Liaise with BI suppliers on the development of key reports and feedback on issues as and when they arise.
* Liaise with all departments across the organisation to optimise the commercial offering and the pharmacy service experience from the business.
* Actively participate and contribute to business development and project initiatives as required.
* Report weekly, monthly and quarterly both formally and informally, to an agreed timetable and format.
* Other commercial duties may be assigned from time to time in line with the changing needs of the business.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
* Proven track record in achieving targets, in a wholesale & retail environment.
* Solid understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry and retail pharmacy.
* Dispensary pharmacy experience essential.
* Extensive experience in all aspects of relationship management.
* Experience in incorporating a financial and strategic perspective to procurement policies.
* Experience of dealing with 3rd party providers of software and BI solutions.
* Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate at all business levels.
* Ability to work well under pressure and to work to targets.
* Highly numerate and competent on common applications
