Sales Advisor - Successful Builder’s Merchants

With operational areas across Europe and primary bases in Ireland, the UK, Belgium and Poland, our client’s group is a significant player in the builder’s merchanting industry and a leader in Ireland and the UK.
Within Ireland, they also operate a strong DIY retailing organisation with stores nationwide and a kitchen business operating under a number of brands. They are now looking for a number of Sales Advisors to join their team, working in stores in Dublin, the Midlands, the South East, the South West and West or Ireland.

As a Sales Advisor, you’ll ensure that customers receive a first-class service and all sales and margin targets are achieved in your branch.
Taking ownership of the sales floor, you will answer customers’ questions and ensure that any issues are quickly resolved.
Additionally, you’ll manage relationships with suppliers to optimise product costs and gain valuable market information.
Your other duties will involve:
- Introducing new products
- Organising product training for trade customers
- Working with the Branch Sales Representatives to identify and follow up on sales opportunities
- Managing stock
- Recommending ways to improve operations within your department
Interested? To be considered, you will need:
- Previous store or sales experience, gained within the construction sector and/or builder’s merchants
OR
- A strong understanding of the construction and/or building materials industry
Customer-focused and enthusiastic, as a Sales Advisor, you’ll need superb communication skills and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude. You’ll also be self-motivated and flexible with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial to your application.
